
2026 Local Government Leadership Academy Announced
Strong communities start with strong leadership. The Local Government Leadership Academy (LGLA) is designed to equip local government professionals with the skills and confidence to lead effectively and make a lasting impact.
This nine-month, cohort-based program combines in-person workshops, virtual sessions, online self-study, and goal-setting exercises to help participants develop practical leadership skills. The Academy focuses on real-world application and leaders will use what they learn to drive improvements within their agencies. These changes ultimately strengthen local governments’ ability to deliver high-quality services to Wisconsin communities.
