Ozaukee County 4-H welcomed families, youth, volunteers, and community members to two successful Open House events earlier this month, kicking off another exciting year of learning, leadership, and connection.
Held on September 8 at the Fredonia Government Center and September 9 at the Ozaukee County Fairgrounds Expo Building, the Open Houses provided opportunities for families to learn more about the many experiences available through 4-H. Current members, volunteers, and leaders were on hand to answer questions, share their experiences, and help prospective members discover how 4-H can help youth explore their interests and develop life skills.
Attendees learned about the wide variety of projects, activities, and leadership opportunities offered through Ozaukee County 4-H. From animal science, arts, and photography to STEM, foods, community service, and youth leadership, 4-H offers something for every young person looking to learn by doing.
The events also gave new families an opportunity to connect with local clubs and volunteers while learning about enrollment and upcoming programs for the new 4-H year. Returning members were able to reconnect after a busy summer and begin looking ahead to another year of educational experiences, community service, and personal growth.
As the 2026-27 4-H year gets underway, Ozaukee County 4-H is excited to welcome new members and families into the program while continuing to support the youth and volunteers who make the organization strong. The enthusiasm shown at both Open House events is a reminder that 4-H continues to be a place where young people can build skills, form lasting friendships, and become confident leaders in their communities.
Welcome to a new year of Ozaukee County 4-H! We look forward to seeing all that our members will learn, create, lead, and accomplish in the months ahead.
