What you can do in this project?
- Overview of common freshwater fish species
- Fishing knots and various types of fishing equipment – fishing lines, reels, rods, and more
- Fishing lures and lure presentation to target certain fish species
- General Wisconsin fishing laws
- Introduction to different ways to fish
Ages:
3-12 grades

Fishing pole for outings noted below.

2025-2026 Dates:
- February 24 – 5:45-7:15 pm., Fairgrounds Pavilion South
- Guest speaker – DNR fisheries biologist
- March 31 – 6:00-7:15 pm., Fairgrounds Pavilion North
- Learn about local fish species
- April 28 – 6:00 – 7:15 pm., Fairgrounds Pavilion North
- Make an in line spinner, materials & tools provided
- June 6 – 10:00 – Noon, location TBD.
- Fishing outing: fishing pole required, however, bait provided
- July 11 – 10:00 – Noon, location TBD.
