    Ozaukee County 4-H Summer Camp: 2027 Camp Leadership

    In 2026-2027, we’re excited to launch Youth Camp Leadership Teams for each Ozaukee County 4-H Camp! These new leadership opportunities are designed to put youth voice at the center of camp planning and implementation, ensuring that campers help shape the experiences they want to see at camp.

    Each camp will have a Camp Lead and Youth Director who will work alongside Extension staff and volunteers to provide ideas, plan activities, build camp culture, and lead fellow campers throughout the camp experience.

    Camp Leadership & Camp Options

    Exploring Camp

    Grades 3-4 (current year)

    Camp Lead & Youth Director help design a fun and welcoming first overnight camp experience.

    These youth leaders will work together to provide input on activities, themes, traditions, and camper engagement

    Base Camp

    Grades 3-4 (current year)

    Camp Lead & Youth Director help create experiences that encourage independence, friendship, and skill-building while representing the interests and ideas of Base Camp participants.

    Adventure Camp

    Grades 7-9 (current year)

    Camp Lead & Youth Director Help shape leadership-focused experiences, special activities, and traditions that make Adventure Camp meaningful and memorable.

    What Will Camp Leads & Youth Directors Do?

    Whether you’re passionate about welcoming new campers, creating memorable traditions, planning activities, or helping others have a great experience, this is your opportunity to make your mark on camp.

    Represent youth perspectives during camp planning.

    Help select or develop camp themes and activities.

    Participate in pre-camp planning meetings.

    Lead activities and support campers during camp.

    Serve as positive role models.

    Work alongside Extension staff and adult volunteers to create a safe, welcoming, and engaging camp experience.

    • Camp Leads: Adults 21+ years old
    • Youth Directors: Youth in 11th grade and above with a maximum of 3 years of camp staff experience.

    Youth currently is grades 3-9 will explore an exciting summer camp adventure featuring a variety of activities, outdoor adventures, and plenty of summer fun!
